How you can provide input
The Town’s budget process starts with considering community feedback on investment priorities, as well as data collection to inform decision making.
Residents and businesses have opportunities to provide input into the Town’s budget through:
- Speaking to the Mayor or their Ward Councillor
- Participating in ongoing community engagement activities (e.g., public meetings, secondary plans, park design and development projects, master plans)
- Visiting Let’s Talk Milton, the Town’s online engagement tool
- Delegating to Council at a Budget Meeting
2024 Capital and Operating Budget
Your valuable input in prioritizing services and investments for the coming year was considered by Council and staff in the budget process.
All feedback received prior to Aug. 23 was included in a Budget Call report to Council on Sept. 11. This report provided background information for consideration in establishing the 2024 Capital and Operating Budget. Feedback received after Aug. 23 was shared with Council prior to the deliberation of the 2024 Budget on Dec. 4, 2023.
