The Milton Heights Neighbourhood refers to the lands bounded by Highway 401 on the north, Peru Road on the east, Steeles Avenue and CP Railway corridor on the south and the existing Tremaine Road on the west side.
This area forms one of the Neighbourhoods included in the Sherwood Survey Secondary Plan Area and the policies of this plan are applicable to the lands. One of the policies in the Sherwood Survey Secondary Plan outlines that a separate tertiary plan will be required prior to any development occurring in Milton Heights.
In January 2007, Town staff received an application for a Tertiary Plan and a Local Official Plan amendment for the Milton Heights Neighbourhood.
A public meeting pursuant to the Planning Act was held at the Administration and Planning Committee meeting on June 21st, 2010. The application and the related applications identified below have been appealed to the Ontario Municipal Board.

A Technical Report, or recommendation report, has not been scheduled and is not anticipated until the technical review has been completed and all required information and/or revisions have been submitted to the satisfaction of the review agencies.
With respect to the appeals to the Ontario Municipal Board, an initial Prehearing Conference was held on April 26, 2011. Additional Prehearing Conferences were held on August 24, 2011 and January 27, 2012. The next Prehearing Conference is scheduled for May 8, 2012.
