Services

Conventional Transit Service

Monday - Friday: 5:45 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Milton Transit conventional service includes six bus routes, operating weekdays, with all routes connecting to at the Milton GO Station on Main Street. Tickets and bus passes can be obtained through our tickets agents.

Paratransit Service (Accessible Service)

Contracted by: A1 Rose Taxi

  • Monday - Friday, 5:45 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Town of Milton provides accessible para-transit service for persons with physical disabilities within the urban and rural areas of Milton. To qualify to be an approved user of the system, each applicant must meet the eligibility guidelines:

  • Be a resident of Milton
  • Physically unable to climb or descend steps
  • Physically unable to walk a distance of 175 metres

To register, submit a completed application form, which is also available at Town Hall.  Please note: A qualified health care professional must certify that the applicant meets the eligibility guidelines.

Community Bus

Wednesday and Thursday: 8:20 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.

Community Bus is a special transit service designed to make travel easier for seniors and persons with lower levels of mobility. Passengers using this specialized service will be picked up or dropped off at a number of seniors' residences, major retailers and/or Town facilities identified along the designated route.

Milton Trans-Cab

Monday - Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Trans-Cab is a new and supplementary service offered by Milton Transit and a local taxi company to provide door-to-door service for passengers in areas with reduced travel demand. The purpose of Trans-Cab is to provide connections between Milton Transit and taxis to/from a designated transfer point.

Note: Route 1 is currently the only bus route that offers Trans-Cab service during off-peak hours.

NEW Trans-Cab Changes - Effective March 5, 2012, all inbound Trans-Cab trip bookings (connections from taxi to bus) are to be requested through the Milton Transit Customer Information line only at: 905-864-4141. There are no changes affecting outbound trip booking requests (connections from bus to taxi).

Milton Transit conventional buses are 100% fully accessible to ensure comfort and safety for passengers. All buses are equipped with accessibility features to accommodate all levels of mobility.
