Parking

The Town of Milton, along with many other surrounding municipalities, provides for maximum five-hour parking and No Parking 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. on all roads unless otherwise posted. The five-hour parking by-law is enforced on all Town streets, in order to promote the safe movement of vehicles, pedestrians and to provide access for emergency and road maintenance vehicles. Fire Routes and Designated Disabled Parking spaces are also enforced.

Pay Parking Ticket	Pay your ticket in person at Town Hall or by using our online service.
Parking Considerations	If you or a guest needs parking in excess of 5-hours or overnight between 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. obtain a Parking Consideration.
Extended On-street Parking	Apply for Extended On-street Parking for 15 hour parking on your street.

Five Hour Parking

The maximum five-hour parking limit:

Reduces the number and length of time that vehicles are parked on the street
Allows for road maintenance, waste collection and snow clearing activities
Encourages residents to park their vehicles on their own property
Allows on-street parking for short-term visitors

No Parking

Important Notice: On-street parking is not permitted during snowstorms, as it impedes winter control operations.

No parking is allowed:

2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.
In any area where 'No Parking Anytime' signs are displayed
On a grass boulevard
On a boulevard within fifty metres (50m) of an intersection and three metres (3m) of the curb line
Within three metres of a fire hydrant
Within one metre of a driveway
Facing the wrong direction on the road
On or overhanging a sidewalk
In a manner that obstructs traffic, road repair or snow removal
On any highway for the purpose of displaying the vehicle for sale
In a space designated for persons with disabilities without displaying a valid disabled person's permit
