News Release -

The Milton Centre for the Arts presents We’re Going on a Bear Hunt on Sunday, January 20 at 1:00 p.m. in the Mattamy Theatre.

We’re Going on a Bear Hunt is a classic children’s story that we are excited to bring to our stage,” said Rob Mackay, Manager, Cultural Services for the Town of Milton. “The stage version is very lively, with musical numbers and audience participation that the book’s young fans and their families will surely enjoy.”

Michael Rosen's award-winning book is brought vividly and noisily to the stage in director Sally Cookson's fun-filled adaptation, set to Benji Bower's versatile, spirited score. Audience members will join the intrepid adventurers on their quest to find a bear, as they wade through the gigantic swishy-swashy grass, the splishy-splashy river and the thick, oozy, squelchy mud! Catchy songs, interactive scenes and plenty of hands-on adventure will be in store – plus a few special surprises!

The show is recommended for children 3 years of age and older. “Babes in arms” are permitted at this show, but every person entering the theatre, including “babes in arms,” must have a ticket, regardless of age. Tickets for this performance are available at the Chudleigh’s Box Office and online at www.miltoncentreforthearts.ca. The adult ticket cost is $15, with a child/student/senior cost of $12.  High school students can take advantage of the eyeGo to the Arts program, which provides a limited number of discounted tickets at $5.
