DROP-IN CYCLING

Drop-in bookings:

Drop-in times may be booked online.

  • Mattamy National Cycling Centre members/pass holders: 14 days in advance
  • Non-members: 7 days in advance

All riders are responsible for following the booking, cancellation and riding guidelines.  

Please note: The drop-in cycling schedule is subject to change, based on demand and participation. Some sessions may be cancelled to accommodate special events; memberships will not be extended and additional sessions will not be added to make up for those cancellations. 

Participants must check in at Customer Service and get a wrist band before entering the program.

Eligibility: Track certification specifically for the Mattamy National Cycling Centre is required to participate in drop-in programs.

Adult Supervision

Open Drop-in

15+ years

Participate in group riding for fun, exercise and fitness with controlled, steady state, pace line style riding.

Facilitator will be present.

Youth

10 - 17 years

Participate in group riding for fun, exercise and fitness with controlled, steady state, pace line style riding.

Facilitator will be present. May be accompanied by one paying adult/member riding the track with youth participant. Youth have priority of the track during this session.

Summer Open Track

15+ years

Prerequisites: Intro to Track (Certification A & B), Probationary Certification, ability to maintain 45km per hour for at least 10 minutes, motor pacing and pursuit bar experience considered an asset.

Have your own workout? Open Track is intended for the Certified rider that requires little direction from velodrome personnel. While a coach is present to assist with the execution of workouts, the participant supplies the general structure of those workouts. Riders are expected to communicate training plans to both the coach on duty as well as other participants.
