Vision for Milton Trails

The Town of Milton developed a Trails Master Plan (2007), which provides a vision for a "trail network that unifies neighbourhoods and destinations within the community of Milton." This plan positions trails as a valued community asset and illustrates the Town's commitment to providing a wide range of leisure, learning and healthy lifestyle opportunities for residents. As the Town continues to grow, the Trails Master Plan will evolve to reflect the changing needs of residents and businesses and will explore new technology and design possibilities for trails development. The Community Services Advisory Committee, comprised of Town staff, Councillors and members of the public, meets on a regular basis to discuss community services issues, which includes trails development in Milton.

Trails and Bikeways Maps

The Town of Milton Community Connections Map includes urban area and rural maps, and illustrates the trail network, featuring hard surface, granular, woodchip and proposed future trails. The map also features Town facilities, parks, schools and transit routes to help you connect to various destinations. Printed maps are available at Town facilities and online:

Take to the Trails Spotlight - Mill Pond Walk

Looking for a mapped out route for an interesting trail adventure? Try the Mill Pond Walk, which takes you along the scenic Mill Pond and Sixteen Mile Creek. (This trail is surfaced in wood chips, which may not be suitable for bikes or roller blades.) Early millers would have walked this same route to check stream flows and water conditions.
