Bruce Street Study

In June 2011, the Main Library and library administration, previously housed at 45 Bruce Street and 407 Pine Street, moved to a larger facility with the completion of the new Milton Centre for the Arts. This relocation presented the opportunity to consider alternative uses for the two buildings, including services for youth, seniors and not-for-profit organizations as well as modified library services and other potential options.

As part of a feasibility study of future use options for these two buildings, a public session was held on Tuesday, December 7 , 2010 to gather input to be presented to Milton Town Council in 2011 and public comment was accepted on the study until January 2011.

Public information sessions were held on June 16 , 2011 to present the consultant findings for future use options for the Bruce and Pine Street facilities. Based on these recommendations, a report was presented to Council in July 2011.
