By-laws ensure a safe, quiet and pleasant environment for residents in this community.
The by-law documents developed for website presentation are not an official version of the by-law and are provided as a convenience only. They should not be relied on as an official version and should not be used or distributed for commercial purposes. The official text of the by-law, official volumes and office consolidations may be obtained from the Town Hall. Contact information is on the left of this page.
Further, generally only Council has the authority to amend its by-laws, however, some by-laws may be amended by other agencies, for example: the Region of Halton or the Ontario Municipal Board. These amendments may not always be reflected in the by-law text. Some versions of by-laws for the Town of Milton found on this website may be consolidated. A consolidated by-law is one that includes some or all amendments that have been made to it.
