News Release

People who live, work or visit Milton can now access free public Wi-Fi at facilities throughout the Town including Milton’s two rural community centres. The Wi-Fi expansion gives users direct access to services and information, allowing for improved communication and productivity in local facilities.

By using ‘Hot Spots’ and ‘Connect Points,’ the Wi-Fi expansion enhances the way residents and staff can interact with the community through online, mobile and social media channels.

“We understand the importance of providing convenient Wi-Fi access in the places residents visit the most,” said Frank Adili, Director of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer. “People want to access information on the go and this new Wi-Fi expansion gives residents, staff and visitors reliable connectivity in busy urban and rural locations across the Town, without paying extra for data.”

The Town of Milton’s Wi-Fi network supports thousands of devices daily and helps over 3 million users access the internet through their mobile devices every year. The adoption of reliable, high-speed Wi-Fi network also creates future opportunities to digitally enhance the Town’s programs and services.
