June is Recreation and Parks Month! StoryWalk®

We are excited to partner with the Milton Public Library to introduce Milton’s first StoryWalk®. A StoryWalk® is a sequence of story book pages placed on stands, scattered along a trail, nature path or park.

After you read the first page, you’re directed to the next page until you have eventually read the whole book. A family friendly activity that helps promote literacy, physical literacy and gets you outdoors.

Residents can take their first StoryWalk® this June in Community Park (805 Santa Maria Blvd). This StoryWalk® was made possible thanks to a grant Milton Public Library received through TD Canada Trust.

In partnership with the Milton Public Library, beginning in June, residents can borrow family outdoor games and sports equipment. All you need is a library card and the desire to have fun and get active.
