Milton received three development proposals for the Bowes area:

  • Mazmik Developments Limited (File: Z-20/14)
  • Milton III-75 Land Limited (Files: 24T-18001/M and Z-05/18)
  • Halton Catholic District School Board (Files: 24T-18002/M, Z-08/18 and LOPA-06/18)

Mazmik Developments Limited

Mazmik Developments Limited applied for rezoning to allow the development of a commercial centre with eight one-storey buildings and a total floor area of around 8,800 m2. The rezoning application proposes changing the Future Development Zone to a site-specific Secondary Mixed-Use Commercial Zone. The southern area of property would be a residential development with around 230 units, which would be created after the centre.

Public meeting

We will be holding a public meeting about the application. If you’re a property owner within 200 m of the affected land, we will send you a notice of this meeting.

Milton III-75 Land Limited

The proposed Milton III-75 Land Limited development would include 270 residential units:

  • 116 single, detached homes
  • 82 street townhomes
  • 72 back-to-back townhomes 

The development would also have a mixed-use area with a village square, woodlot and green spaces.

We are now reviewing the development’s rezoning and Local Official Plan Amendment applications. Public meeting

We hosted a statutory public meeting on February 11, 2019, where we invited the community to gather information, identify possible issues and share feedback on the applications.

Halton Catholic District School Board

Halton Catholic District School Board’s development would include a new secondary school. This will require a Local Official Plan Amendment to redesignate the lands and a Zoning By-law amendment. The remainder of the lands would stay vacant until future development.
