Facility/Program reopenings and closures

The Town is pleased to reintroduce programs and services to the community as part of Stage 3 of the Government of Ontario's recovery plan. All redesigned programs and services will look different from pre-COVID-19 to include precautions to reduce the spread of the virus.

As part of Milton’s gradual approach to COVID-19 recovery, the Cashier’s counter at Town Hall is reopening on Tuesday, Aug.18, on a limited schedule, to offer in-person payments for property taxes, parking tickets, invoices and transit passes.

The Cashier’s counter at Town Hall will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with some exceptions noted below, to complete the following payments:

  • Property taxes: The first installment of the final tax bill is due on Aug. 31. For the week before this deadline, cashier services is extending its schedule and will be open from Aug. 24 to 28 and Aug. 31.
  • Parking tickets: Please note this is for payment only. Residents who wish to discuss a ticket must do so online or by email.
  • Invoices: This includes by-law infractions and account receivables.
  • Transit tickets and passes: This service is available starting Aug. 25, 2020.

As Town facilities and select parks open, it will take time to reopen after any provincial announcements are made. We must do our due diligence, as many of these reopening's will require new safety protocols for users and staff, along with time to perform the necessary maintenance to open park amenities and Town facilities. Please review the table below for an up to date listing of parks, amenities, and facilities that are open.

While some amenities are open, the provincial order includes no more than 50 people gathered at one time indoors and 100 people gathered outdoors. Please continue practice physical distancing and wear a non-medical mask while indoors.
