Public Service Announcement

Please be advised that an extreme cold weather alert has been issued for Jan. 29, 2021.

The Halton Region Health Department issues cold warnings during any of the following weather conditions:

  • Daily predicted low of -15 degrees Celsius without wind-chill
  • Environment Canada issues an extreme cold warning for outdoor activity (temperature or wind chill to reach -30 degrees Celsius for at least two consecutive hours)

Residents are encouraged to check in on family, friends and neighbours, especially those who may be vulnerable to cold-weather related illnesses.
