Town of Milton launches survey for Trails and Cycling Master Plan Update

Posted on Tuesday January 29, 2013

News Release -

All are welcome to participate in a survey as part of the Trails and Cycling Master Plan Update.  The survey will allow members of the public to provide suggestions on how Milton’s existing trails and cycling network can be enhanced for future use and enjoyment.

The survey will be available on the Town’s website, www.milton.ca starting on Friday, February 1. Hard copies will be available at all Town facilities.

Expected to be completed in spring 2013, this new plan will guide the development and decision-making for existing and proposed trail systems and cycling facilities within the Town of Milton over the next five years; it will also identify connections to surrounding communities. The goal of the updated plan is a well-planned system of on-road and off road routes for multi-use, pedestrian and cycling uses within urban and rural areas, ultimately connecting people to their desired destinations.

Display boards with information on the master plan projectwill be posted in Town facilities, and updated information will be available at www.milton.ca. Public input sessions will be planned in the coming months, at a date, time and location to be determined. Check the Town of Milton website for project details, updates and ways to be involved.
