News Release-

The Town of Milton is inviting seniors (65 years+) and persons with disabilities living in all of Milton to register for 25 additional spots now available for the Windrow Removal Program for the rest of the winter season, which runs until March 31, 2017. This program expansion was approved by Milton Council in the 2017 budget.

The windrow removal program removes windrows (piles of snow left at the bottom of driveways after the snow plow passes) for eligible residents. The service begins when the total accumulation of snow on the roadway exceeds 10 cm (4 inches) and after the Town has completed the plowing of all roads.

Eligible residents must register in person on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Milton Town Hall (Engineering Services, 2nd floor), 150 Mary Street. A maximum of 25 spots are available, on a first-come, first-served basis. Registrants must provide identification with their address and age, and must sign a declaration that no able-bodied person under the age of 65 is living at the residence. Persons with disabilities need to provide a doctor’s note. The pro-rated fee is $25 for the remainder of this season; the fee is non-refundable.

Transportation to Milton Town Hall is available with Milton Transit on Routes 2 and 6 as well as for anyone registered for Milton access+ services; regular fares apply. For information about Milton Transit, visit
