News Release

Today, MP Adam van Koeverden, Mayor Krantz, members of Council and Austin, Taylor and Whit from Pflag Canada - Halton officially unveiled two new rainbow crosswalks in Milton, celebrating Pride Month.

The two rainbow crosswalks, located at Charles and Main Street and Brown and Main Street, are important landmark additions and inclusive symbols in downtown Milton.

“Milton stands with and supports our 2SLGBTQ+ community,” said Mayor Gord Krantz. “These rainbow crosswalks, in the heart of downtown Milton, are a symbol of the Town’s commitment to being a diverse and inclusive community where everyone is safe and welcome.”

Milton raised the Pride Flag earlier this month and will proudly fly the flag until the end of June. Additionally, Milton Public Library locations around the community now have rainbow benches available year-round for residents to enjoy, representing a safe space for our 2SLGBTQ+ community.
