News release

While a fire can happen anywhere at any time, it most often strikes when people are distracted by the hustle and bustle of the holidays.

The Milton Fire Department is helping you keep safe during this holiday season by sharing Sparky’s 12 days of fire safety. This year’s campaign features 12 vital fire safety topics that protect against seasonal risks including electrical, cooking, and heating fire prevention.

This campaign features the one and only Sparky. The National Fire Protection Association’s mascot is included in fire safety scenarios and videos to help inform individuals about the importance of being extra cautious during the holiday season.

Stay tuned for these safety tips on the Milton Fire Department’s Twitter account @MiltonFireON starting Dec. 12, 2022. We encourage you to share these tips and help spread fire safety information over the holidays.

“Stay alert and keep your loved ones safe this holiday season. We encourage you to enjoy the festive season while staying vigilant and always making fire safe choices when entertaining, decorating your home, and keeping warm this winter.”
