Milton Fire and Rescue Services received a grant in the amount of $18,067.57 from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada to purchase new air lifting bags to aid in rescue operations.

This generous grant will be used to purchase a Paratech air bag lifting system including a master control kit, bags, hoses and accessories. This lifting tool is necessary for situations when firefighters need to lift heavy objects to remove victims who are trapped from an accident.

Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada has awarded 306 grants to public safety organizations since 2015. The grant awarded to Milton Fire and Rescue Services is one of 22 grants awarded to public safety organizations during Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada’s most recent grant cycle. The 22 grants will provide critical lifesaving equipment valued at more than $518,000 across Ontario.
