Milton opens cooling centre at Sherwood Community Centre

The Town of Milton is opening the Sherwood Community Centre, located at 6355 Main St. West, as a Cooling Centre for June 7, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Due to capacity limits, residents may be limited to one-hour increments and everyone will be screened for COVID-19 when they arrive. Measures will be in place to ensure physical distancing. Visitors must wear a mask in the Cooling Centre. Please stay home if you are ill and always practice physical distancing.

Halton Region issues an extended heat warning when the daytime temperatures reach at least 31 degrees Celsius with overnight temperatures above 20 degrees Celsius for three or more days, or when the humidex is expected to reach 40 for three or more days.
