News Release

TransitTracker is a web-based tool that uses GPS technology to predict bus arrival times at bus stops. Customers can easily access real-time bus tracking from computers, tablets or smartphones using the TransitTracker tool at MiltonTransit.ca or by visiting the dedicated TransitTracker web portal.

Real-time transit information allows riders to know the location and arrival time of buses at any point along the route. This information takes away the uncertainty of knowing when the bus is coming, improving the reliability of the system.

“Milton Transit is continuously adopting new technologies to meet the needs of our growing community,” said Tony D’Alessandro, Manager. “Real-time transit information gives customers a better public transit experience and has the potential to attract new customers to our services.”

TransitTracker, combined with other online improvements such as the new MiltonTransit.ca website, Triplinx Trip Planner and MagnusCards, gives customers access to service and route information on the go, making it easier to use the system.

“Giving our riders access to real-time travel information has been a priority for us in 2019 and will make riding Milton Transit even easier,” said D’Alessandro. “We’ve made several digital improvements this year and expect that ridership will continue to grow. According to the latest Q3 report, ridership on the conventional system grew by 13 per cent compared to the same period last year.”

TransitTracker is available on desktop and mobile devices. To find routes and schedules nearest you, check out the Triplinx Planner.
