Public service announcement

Treaties Recognition Week (Nov. 1-7, 2021) honours the importance of treaties and aims to be a week of education for individuals to learn more about treaty rights and relationships. This annual acknowledgement provides an opportunity for the greater population to have a better understanding of the subject matter.

This year, the Town of Milton in partnership with the Milton Historical Society is hosting a virtual information session to allow for further education, awareness, and relationship building.

This virtual event will be presented by Darin Wybenga, Traditional Knowledge and Land Use Coordinator, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. There will also be an opportunity for viewers to ask questions at the end of the information session.
