Accessibility Advisory Committee
The Milton Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC) advises Town Council and staff on improving accessibility in the community.
This committee helps guide the Town of Milton in creating a barrier-free community where all residents and visitors can participate fully. It operates under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
The Accessibility Advisory Committee provides advice and recommendations to support accessibility across the town.
Specifically, the committee:

Develops and recommends an annual accessibility plan for Council approval

Reviews site plans and building designs to help ensure spaces are accessible

Supports community awareness, including activities for National Access Awareness Week

Reviews Town policies, programs, and services to support compliance with AODA requirements
The committee meets regularly throughout the year to review plans, policies, and accessibility initiatives.
