Fire and Safety Education

Overview

Fire and safety education helps residents, families, and property owners reduce the risk of fire and respond safely in emergencies. Through education, training, and awareness, the Town of Milton supports safer homes, workplaces, and communities.

The topics below highlight key fire safety information and learning opportunities available through Milton Fire & Rescue Services.

Fire safety topics and programs

Fire extinguisher training

Learn how to safely use a portable fire extinguisher during small, manageable fires. This training blends instruction with hands-on practice to build confidence in responding to fire emergencies.

Home fire safety

Most fire-related deaths occur in the home. Home fire safety resources focus on preventing common household fire risks and protecting your family through early detection and effective planning.

Community Education & Outreach Programs

Milton Fire and Rescue Services offers public education opportunities for the community.
