Ward 2 residents are represented by both a Town Councillor and a Regional Councillor. Together, they represent local interests and help guide decisions that affect the Town of Milton and Halton Region.

Town Councillor John Challinor II 

John Challinor II serves as the Town Councillor for Ward 2 and represents residents on Milton Town Council. In this role, he works with the Mayor and members of Council to help shape municipal policies, services, budgets, and long-term planning initiatives.

Biography 

John Challinor II has served as a local councillor for 19 years, helping to develop Milton's growth plan in the 1990s and continuing to support the delivery of essential municipal services. His focus has been on balancing fiscal responsibility with quality service delivery while helping to create a community where people can live, work, and play. 

Work and volunteer experience 

John Challinor II is a principal and former executive with extensive experience in Canada's technology and consumer health industries. Throughout his career and community service, he has contributed to a number of local organizations and initiatives, including:

  • Hope Place Centre Alcohol/Drug Rehabilitation Facility

Regional Councillor Rick Malboeuf 

Rick Malboeuf serves as the Regional Councillor for Ward 2, representing residents at both Milton Town Council and Halton Regional Council. In addition to participating in municipal decision-making, he helps address regional matters such as transportation, infrastructure, public health, and regional services.
