Ward 3 Councilors
Ward 3 residents are represented by both a Town Councillor and a Regional Councillor. Together, they represent local interests and help guide decisions that affect the Town of Milton and Halton Region.

Adil Khalqi serves as the Town Councillor for Ward 3 and represents residents on Milton Town Council. In this role, he works with the Mayor and members of Council to help shape municipal policies, services, budgets, and long-term planning initiatives.

Born in Pakistan, Adil Khalqi moved to Canada with his family in 2000 and has called Milton home since 2012. His commitment to community service began at an early age and has continued through volunteer work and civic engagement initiatives throughout Milton.
Community involvement has been an important part of Councillor Khalqi's life. Beginning at age 10, he volunteered with organizations and community initiatives and has continued supporting food banks, charitable fundraisers, community programs, political campaigns, Crime Stoppers, and other local causes.
After graduating from Milton District High School in 2017, Councillor Khalqi continued his studies at Mohawk College, where he completed Police Foundations and Advanced Police Studies programs. He later joined the Brantford Police Service, where he continues to serve as a police officer.
Councillor Khalqi brings a perspective focused on public service, community engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion. He is committed to supporting opportunities for young people and encouraging future community leaders.

Sammy Ijaz serves as the Regional Councillor for Ward 3, representing residents at both Milton Town Council and Halton Regional Council. In addition to participating in municipal decision-making, he helps address regional matters such as transportation, infrastructure, public health, and regional services.
