Overview
A street party permit is required to temporarily close a residential road in the Town of Milton for a neighbourhood gathering. This permit allows residents to host community events safely while ensuring access for emergency services and minimizing disruption to surrounding areas.
Street parties are free of charge, but planning is required. Before applying, you must gather support from your neighbours, arrange insurance, and meet all safety requirements. You must submit your application at least four weeks before your event to allow time for review and approvals.

You must gather support from at least 80% of affected residents directly impacted by the road closure

The road closure must be for a neighbourhood event on a residential street

You are responsible for event setup, safety, and cleanup

Two sets of wooden barricades and road closure signs must be installed

The Town does not supply barricades or signage

Applicants must provide general liability insurance for the event.

Minimum of $5 million coverage

Must name The Corporation of the Town of Milton as additional insured
