Demolition Permits

A demolition permit is required if you plan to demolish all or part of a building or structure that is larger than 10 m² in Milton. Obtaining a permit helps ensure the demolition is completed safely and in accordance with applicable regulations.

Most farm buildings are exempt from this requirement, provided the structure being demolished is not subject to any other laws, such as the Ontario Heritage Act. Before beginning any demolition work, make sure you understand the permit requirements, required documents, and applicable regulations.
