Stay fit using the 300-metre indoor walking and running track at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre.

Note: Walking track may be closed on stat holidays; Mattamy National Cycling Centre walking track may be closed during special events at the facility. Please make sure the email address on your account is up to date, as email reminders are sent periodically notifying members of upcoming closures.

Track hours

  • 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily

Mattamy National Cycling Centre Track is closed between November 2023 and April 2024 during the below times:

  • Tuesday & Thursday– 7-8 p.m.
  • Wednesday & Friday – 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Memberships

You can purchase an annual pass to the walking and running track for $34.77. Daily passes are available for $6.35.

Track access

  • Annual Passes are available for participants 14 years and older and can be purchased online with your recreation account.
  • Participants 13 years and under must be accompanied by an adult with an active membership.
  • Please scan your active living annual pass card or your walking track pass card at the front desk before proceeding to the track.
  • Replacement pass cards can be purchased by visiting the customer service desk during customer service hours.
  • The following are not permitted on the track:
    • Spectators (unless they are walking to the stands)
    • Group training (designated rentals only)
    • Balls, roller blades, skateboards, bicycles, Nordic poles or any other items which may afftect the safety of walkers and joggers
    • Gum, food and glass containers
    • Spitting or spouting

Track features

The track offers scenic views of the Niagara Escarpment and the cycling track and gymnasium below. Our facility also includes:

  • Year-round climate controlled temperature Change rooms
  • Unlocked cubbies along the track to store your personal belongings
  • Lockers – coin operated or bring your own lock

Mattamy National Cycling Centre:

  • Inside lane – Running/jogging: 308 metres
  • Middle lane – Jogging/fast Walking: 314 metres
    • 3 laps = 942 meters or approximately 1 kilometer
    • 16 laps = 5024 meters or approximately 5 kilometers
  • Outside lane – Walking: 319 metres
