 Drop-in skating rates

Our drop-in skates include Public Skate, Family Skate and Adult Skate. You can pay-per-visit or buy our 10-visit or annual pass. 10-visit and annual passes are valid for drop-in skating and swimming. Visit a customer service desk to buy your pass.

 Rules and regulations

 Public skate rules and regulations:
  • Admission starts on a first-come, first-served basis 30 minutes before programs begin
  • You must sign in at Customer Service before entering
  • CSA-approved helmets are highly recommended and chinstraps should be fastened
  • Pucks, hockey sticks or equipment are not allowed on the ice surface

Drop-in shinny and stick ‘n puck

Our drop-in shinny and stick ‘n puck sessions are first-come, first-served but pre-registration is available to guarantee your admission and avoid the lines. You can save your spot by pre-registering online 

If this is your first time attending one of our hockey programs, make sure you have a Milton recreation account new account creation. You will need to know your client barcode and pin number.

Shinny/Stick 'n Puck Calendar

Morning sessions

Pre-registration starts at 6:00 p.m. the day before our morning sessions (6:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.).

Afternoon sessions

Pre-registration starts at 7:00 a.m. on the same day for afternoon sessions (1:00 to 9:30 p.m.).

Shinny

Whether you are a beginner or an expert, we have pick-up hockey games available for children, youth, adults and older adults.

Rules and regulations

Shinny rules and regulations:

  • Full equipment is required
  • CSA-approved helmet with full face mask is mandatory and you must fasten your chinstrap
  • Body contact is not permitted
  • 20 skater maximum (30 skater maximum for Older Adults)
  • 4 goalie maximum
  • All goalies and skaters must check-in at customer service prior to playing
Accompanying children

Parents or guardians must be 18 years of age or older and must stay in the program area when accompanying children. We provide staff supervision for Children and Youth programs only.

Stick 'n Puck

Join Stick 'n Puck and work on your stick handling, shooting and skating skills. We have drop-in sessions available for preschool, children, youth, adults, older adults and families.

Rules and regulations

 Stick 'n Puck rules and regulations:
  • Full equipment is recommended
  • CSA-approved helmets (with full-face mask and hockey gloves for child and youth participants) are required and you must fasten your chinstrap
  • Body contact, organized game play, slap shots and practice tools (e.g. pylons) are not permitted
  • 24 skater maximum for Preschool, Children and Family and 20 skater maximum for Youth, Adult and Older Adults
  • For programs for children 12 years and under, adult to participant ratio is 1:2
Accompanying children

Parents or guardians must be 18 years of age or older and must stay in the program area when accompanying children. We provide staff supervision for Youth programs only.

Figure Skating

Join one of our figure skating drop-ins to work on your skills, strength and endurance. We offer general and competitive sessions.
