Nominations

The Milton Sports Hall of Fame provides an opportunity to recognize, honour, and preserve the sports accomplishments and contributions of our community.

Nominate

You can nominate:

  • Athletes who participate in a recognized sport*
  • Teams from a recognized sport (two or more athletes competing together as a unit)
  • Builders or non-athletes who contribute to the operation or governance of a recognized sport**

* "Recognized Sport" is defined as part of a Recognized Provincial Sports Association (PSO), Multisport Organization (MSO), National Sports Organization (NSO) or a ParaSport Foundation (PSF).

**This includes officials, board members of a sports group or team, sponsors of sports group or team, trainers, guides, team executives, helper, volunteers and coaches.

Nominations close April 30, 2020, for the 2020 Induction.

The 5th Annual Milton Sports Hall of Fame Induction will be on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at the Milton Sports Centre. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Volunteer

The Board of Directors are action-oriented individuals with a passion for local sports and a strong desire to help celebrate its history and excellence.

Apply to the Board of Directors

Responsibilities include attending regular Board meetings and joining at least one sub-committee. Experience in any of the following would be an asset: IT, websites, marketing and promotion, legal knowledge, event organizing, fundraising, nominee research or social media.
