Public service announcement

The Town of Milton invites residents to attend a public information session to learn about and discuss the proposed additional residential units (ARUs) policies and regulations for the urban areas of Milton.

To align with the updated Ontario Planning Act, the Town is in the process of updating its Official Plan policies and Zoning By-law regulations to permit ARUs on single detached, semi-detached and townhouse lots. ARUs are self-contained residential dwelling units containing its own kitchen, sleeping and bathroom facilities. Examples of ARUs include basement apartments, granny flats, coach houses and garden suites.
