How you can provide input

In addition to the established Council priorities, the Town’s budget process starts with considering community feedback on those priorities, as well as data collection to inform the Town’s decision making.

Residents and businesses have opportunity to provide input into the Town’s budget through:

  • Participating in ongoing community engagement activities (e.g., public meetings, secondary plans, park design and development projects, master plans)
  • Visiting Let’s Talk Milton, the Town’s online engagement tool, prior to Council’s budget direction each year

2023 Proposed Capital and Operating Budget

We are seeking your valuable input in prioritizing services and investments for the upcoming year. Comments you provide will be considered by Council and staff in the budget process. All feedback received up to Aug. 19 will also be included in a Budget Call report to Council on Sept. 12. This report will seek Council direction on the Proposed 2023 Capital and Operating Budget.

Any feedback received after Aug. 19 will be shared with Council prior to the deliberation of the 2023 Budget.
