Volunteer application requirements
All volunteers must:
- Provide two reference letters.
- Attend an interview (and provide two references at this stage).
- Participate in a mandatory training session.
- Complete all required documentation.
- Provide a criminal record check (CRC) (required for most volunteer positions).
- Provide a CRC with vulnerable sector check (VSC), (if you are age 18 or older and plan to volunteer with children, older adults or persons with a disability).
- Complete other possible required screening.
Please note that you must cover the cost for your CRC and/or VSC.
All applications are carefully considered but we may not be able to match you with your preferred placement. If accepted, we will work with you to discuss available options.
Community involvement hours
Many volunteer opportunities count toward high school community involvement hours. Check with your school to learn more.
