Join staff from the Milton Seniors’ Activity Centre each week by telephone to participate in programs with other older adults in the community.

Milton Senior's Activity Centre

The Milton Senior’s Activity Centre offers a variety of workshops as well as drop-in and registered programs. You can spend the day socializing at the Centre, enjoy a game of billiards or take part in an event or day trip.


Become a member of the Milton Seniors ‘Activity Centre and get access to:

  • $35 for 55 to 64 year old members
  • $25 for 65 to 84 year old members
  • Free for members 85 years of age or older

Non-members and those under 55 are welcome to participate in all programs and activities offered at the Centre. Non-member fees will apply.

Trips, tours and events

We offer a variety of trips, tours and events. Sign up for a tour at the Centre reception desk. We recommend that you book early because seats fill up quickly. You can pay by cheque at the time of booking. Please make your cheques payable to Great Canadian Holidays Inc.

55+ events and trips - Winter 2020

Pancake Lunch - Wednesday, February 26, 12:00 pm.  Tickets: $9 members/$10 non-members

  • Enjoy delicious pancakes, complete with all the toppings, sausage and beverages


The Luck of the Irish - Monday, March 2, 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm.  Tickets: $12 members/$15 non-members

  • Come celebrate an early St. Patrick's Day with dessert, coffee, tea and a performance by Michael Kelly Cavan.


A Day in Orangeville - Wednesday, April 29, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.  Tickets: $120 members/$125 non-members.  Register by March 27

  • Mrs. Mitchell's Restaurant & the New Canadian Curling Club.  Experience fine food and service in a casually upscale atmosphere. At Mrs. Mitchell’s Restaurant, a schoolhouse from 1889, you can expect a superior dining experience. Enjoy the colonial décor and upscale service delivered with a down-home smile. After lunch enjoy the award winning theatre production “The New Canadian Curling Club”. Four new Canadians from around the globe sign up for a weekly “Learn to Curl” class. Trouble is, their reluctant coach has some strong opinions about immigrants. What follows is the hilarious and inspiring story of a group of unlikely athletes who face off against local prejudice to become a true team.

Fallsview Casino - Monday, April 6, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.  Tickets $16 members/$21 non-members.

  • Enjoy a luxury coach to Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls for a five-hour visit and test your luck. A $10 casino bonus is included. Participants must spend time in the casino during this trip and use their player’s cards.

Come visit our older adult space at the Sherwood Community Centre. As an extension of the Milton Seniors’ Activity Centre, a number of registered programs, workshops and drop-in programs for adults 55+ will be offered here.

Older Adults Property Tax Deferral Program

There are two tax deferral programs available in Milton.

Halton Region's Older Adults Property Tax Deferral Program

If you are at least 65 years old and own a home in Milton, you may qualify for Halton Region’s Older Adults Property Tax Deferral Program. The program allows you to defer your annual property taxes and interest fee.

Deferral of Property Tax Increases for Low-income Seniors or Low-income Persons with Disabilities

You can apply for the Deferral of Property Tax Increases for Low-income Seniors and Low-income Persons with Disabilities. Complete the Application form and submit it to Town Hall, located at 150 Mary St.
