The Town of Milton sends out property tax bills twice a year. The interim tax bill is sent early February and the final tax bill is sent early June.

In recognition of the disruption caused by COVID-19 and the financial pressures they may have caused, an extension of the 2020 final tax installments from June 30 and September 30, 2020 to August 31 and October 30, 2020 have been approved. For more information visit: milton.ca/coronavirus 

Review your bill and make your payment by the due dates provided. Property taxes are due on the:

  • Last business day of February
  • Last business day of April *grace period for penalty/interest provided if paid on or before June 30, 2020
  • Last business day of June *extended to August 31, 2020
  • Last business day of September *extended to October 30, 2020

New to Milton

If you previously owned a property in Milton and pay your taxes through online banking, please update the roll number (15 digit number found on the top right of your notice). The roll number on your new property will be different from the previous property.

Newly built homes

After you move into your new home, you will receive a Property Assessment Change Notice within three years. The Assessment Act allows MPAC to assess any new house that has been omitted from the Assessment Roll for the current and any part or all of the two previous years.
