The Town of Milton sends out property tax bills twice a year. The interim tax bill is sent early February and the final tax bill is sent early June.

In recognition of the disruption caused by the COVID-19 outbreak, the Town of Milton is offering temporary relief for taxpayers by relaxing all penalties and fees for residents needing to defer property tax payment. For more information visit:

  • Last business day of February
  • Last business day of April
  • Last business day of June
  • Last business day of September

New to Milton

If you previously owned a property in Milton and pay your taxes through online banking, please update the roll number (15 digit number found on the top right of your notice). The roll number on your new property will be different from the previous property.

Newly built homes

After you move into your new home, you will receive a Property Assessment Change Notice within three years. The Assessment Act allows MPAC to assess any new house that has been omitted from the Assessment Roll for the current and any part or all of the two previous years.
