Applications now open for Milton’s neighbourhood outdoor rink program

The Town of Milton is launching its second season of  its outdoor neighbourhood ice rink program. This is a collaborative project between residents and the Town.

Groups of six or more adults can build and operate a neighbourhood rink in a pre-approved location, meeting the criteria and agreed upon responsibilities to maintain the rink throughout the winter season.

A neighbourhood rink provides a community building opportunity where a group of neighbours are committed to building and operating an outdoor ice rink at a community park for all residents to enjoy, free of charge. Workplaces serving their community through volunteer initiatives should also consider applying to build and operate a rink this winter season.

Online applications are now open until Nov. 3, 2023. For more information about criteria and responsibilities of the volunteer teams and Town staff, visit Milton.ca/NeighbourhoodRinks.
