Milton residents can once again apply to host an outdoor neighbourhood rink, with applications for the 2025-26 winter season opening on Oct. 8.
Now in its fourth year, the program supports community volunteers in building and maintaining small outdoor rinks in pre-approved local parks. It encourages active winter living, strengthens neighbourhood connections, and offers free, family-friendly outdoor fun.
Groups of six or more adults can apply to host and maintain a rink site. Each group must designate a team leader and take care of regular flooding, snow clearing, and safety checks. The Town provides the rink along with guidance throughout the season, while volunteers are responsible for day-to-day maintenance.
Applications close on Nov. 9. For full program details, including volunteer responsibilities, site options, and the online application form, visit milton.ca/NeighbourhoodRinks.
The Town encourages returning volunteers, new applicants, and local workplace teams to get involved and help create another season of winter fun.
