Milton Council has approved $536,668 this year in Milton Community Fund grants for 52 local organizations, marking 25 years of investing in programs that help make Milton A Place of Possibility.    

Since 2001, the Milton Community Fund has supported not-for-profit organizations that deliver artistic, cultural, and recreational opportunities for residents. To date, the fund has distributed more than $8.4 million to the community.  

“For a quarter-century, the Milton Community Fund has helped local organizations deliver programs that strengthen our community and create opportunities for residents to learn, participate, and connect,” said Gord Krantz, Mayor of Milton. We are proud to support these recipients and the positive impact they’re making in Milton.” 

This year, the program received 61 applications, including 10 first-time applicants, reflecting ongoing demand for local funding. 

The Milton Community Fund was established by Milton Council to distribute a portion of funds received from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (Woodbine – Mohawk Park) to eligible community organizations.
