Public Hearing Notice - Minor Variance Application

Take notice that pursuant to S.45 of the Planning Act , R.S.O. 1990, C.P.13, as amended, this application will be considered by the Milton Committee of Adjustment and Consent starting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, in the Town Council Chambers, Town Hall, 150 Mary St., Milton.

You are receiving this notice because the applicant submitted a minor variance application to the Town of Milton. As stipulated by the Planning Act , notice must be provided to property owners within 60 metres of the area to which the application applies. Further details on this application, including drawings, can be viewed by contacting the Secretary Treasurer, noted below.

NOTE: Due to the ongoing Canada Post Strikes, this notice will be posted to the Town website in accordance with the Planning Act.

Application Details

The property owner of 0 & 8600 Escarpment Way (BLK 3, Plan 20M-952) in the Town of Milton under Section 45(1) of the Planning Act , is requesting the Committee of Adjustment to authorize a minor variance to permit a reduction in the minimum lot coverage required for a transportation terminal.

Therefore, the following variance to Zoning By-law 016-2014, as amended, is required:

Alternatively, written submissions will be accepted with respect to this application and must be made in writing no later than Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025 to the Secretary-Treasurer, as noted below. Any written correspondence provided to the Committee Secretary-Treasurer is issued to the Members prior to the Hearing will form part of the public record and will be considered to have been read into evidence at the Hearing.
