News release

Milton Transit, in partnership with the Milton Public Library, will be offering its annual Read and Ride program from June 24 to Sept. 2, 2023.

The program provides youth, aged 16 and under, free access on Milton Transit buses simply by showing their validated library card to the bus driver upon boarding.

Transit validation stickers are free and will be available at all Milton Public Library branches starting June 24. Those interested in participating in the program, are required to place the validation sticker on their Milton Public Library card.

A program kick-off celebration is scheduled for June 24, 2023 at the Main Library (1010 Main Street East) from 1-4 p.m. The celebration will also signal the start of the Milton Public Library’s TD Summer Reading Club.

Residents are encouraged to attend the free event and take part in games and activities, receive their validation stickers and participate in a scavenger hunt on a Milton Transit bus parked outside the library.
