The Town of Milton is investing over $61.7 million in roads networks in 2022, building infrastructure that makes Milton a complete and connected community.

Construction season is underway and crews are working to build and maintain critical infrastructure to keep Milton moving. This infrastructure includes road reconstruction, lane widening, bike lanes, sidewalk expansion, asphalt improvements, intersection modifications, urbanization (curbs and gutters), and bridge maintenance.

Town-led construction is essential work that ensures transportation infrastructure remains safe, in a state of good repair, and able to meet the community’s needs now and in the future. While construction can be inconvenient, it’s a short-term disruption for long-term benefits.

This year, residents can expect road closures and lane restrictions on both main and arterial roads and side streets. Regular operational maintenance on roads and sidewalks are ongoing in our community to keep residents safe, and promote a walkable and bicycle-friendly community.

During construction, the public is encouraged to plan travel in advance, consider alternate routes, follow signage and be patient while traveling in and around construction areas.

This $61.7 million investment reflects the 2022 approved budget. In addition, there are projects being completed this year that were approved in previous budget years.
