Public service announcement

The Town of Milton is inviting residents and business owners to share their thoughts and ideas about how to prioritize services and investments for 2023.

The Capital and Operating Budget provides for the investments to be made in the community and is a reflection of Council’s strategic vision for the Town as outlined in the Council-Staff Work plan, as well as the many detailed studies and plans undertaken by the Town.

The annual budget process provides Council with the opportunity to balance resources to meet the Town’s priorities and deliver services to the community.

The budget is developed according to the following steps:

  • July-August 2022: Initial public engagement seeking priorities for 2023
  • September 2022: Council establishes budget guidelines
  • November 2022: Proposed budget is available for viewing at Milton.ca
  • December 2022: Budget Presentation to Council and Public Delegations
  • January 2023: Council deliberates and approves the budget
