Town Hall

Milton's civic presence in the downtown core consists of the historic Town Hall (Town Hall West) and a 50,000 square-foot two-storey addition (Town Hall East) that was completed in 2009. The two buildings are connected by a glass walkway, which houses the Milton Walk of Fame. Located next to Victoria Park with its historic cenotaph and gazebo, the site includes a stone-walled courtyard with colourful gardens, maintained courtesy of the Milton Horticultural Society.

Parking and After-hours Drop Boxes

Parking is available in surface lots surrounding the Town Hall. After-hours drop boxes are located by the King Street parking lot and beside the doors to the Mary Street entrance. Artist's Showcase in Milton Room

A beautiful, light-filled exhibition space is part of the unique two-story Milton Room, which was built in 2009 as part of the Town Hall expansion. This room provides a welcoming space for the public and local artists to share and appreciate the arts. The Milton Room Showcase working group is currently booking exhibition space and is welcoming submissions.

Public access to the Milton Room is available during business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) and only when the room is not booked for a function. To check that the room will be unoccupied at the time of your visit, please call 905-878-7252, ext. 2300.

Display Details
  • Work will be displayed for a three-month period, in one of four seasonal periods: spring, summer, fall and winter.
  • Work must be hung using the hanging system provided.
  • For security reasons, only members of the committee may hang or replace artwork.
  • Artists who wish to hold an opening reception are required to rent the room and comply with the Town’s facility rental terms and conditions.
  • Sales are encouraged through the Showcase Selection Chair (Lesia Shipowick: 905-876-0500).
  • If artwork is sold, it may be replaced by other pieces, at the artist’s discretion.
  • No commission on sales is collected.
Selection Criteria
  • Submissions will be accepted from individuals or small groups that reside in Milton and/or are members of the Fine Arts Society of Milton.
  • Work can be in any media, including painting, collage, drawing, fabric, photography, etc. (There is hanging space only - no sculptures, please.)
  • All work must be original by the artist(s).
  • Work must be professionally readied for hanging with proper wiring.
  • A $30.00 administration fee will be charged upon confirmation of exhibition dates.
