Public service announcement

The community is invited to nominate local grade seven to 12 students for a 2022 Milton Youth Award. Nominations can be submitted online and are open from Feb. 17 to April 10.

Each year, the Milton Youth Task Force (MYTF) recognizes the valuable contributions of youth through the Milton Youth Awards. As a future generation of leaders, it is important to recognize our Milton youth for their positive contributions and impacts they have in our community.

This year, there are nine award categories:

  • Youth Artist of the Year
  • Youth Athlete of the Year
  • Champion for Youth
  • Youth Eco Warrior
  • Youth Change-Maker
  • Outstanding Group of the Year
  • Youth Great Citizen
  • Youth-friendly Business of the Year
  • Community Leadership

Award recipients will be recognized during National Youth Week, May 1-7, 2022. Follow the MYTF’s Instagram and Town’s Facebook and Twitter to celebrate youth week and congratulate the winners.

The MYTF is a group of young people who are ready to take action to make Milton a Place of Possibility.
