The Town of Milton is committed to environmental stewardship year-round, with community cleanups taking place each year around Earth Day. We encourage Milton residents to participate in these cleanups  rain or shine  to celebrate Earth Daysupport a healthier environment, and help keep our outdoor spaces clean and safe for everyone. 

In honour of Earth Day, the Town of Milton will assist with planting hundreds of trees and shrubs this spring and fall in partnership with Sustainable Milton and Conservation Halton. This is in addition to approximately 650 trees scheduled to be planted in local parks and along streetscapes this spring.

Get involved 

Town of Milton community cleanups 

  • When: April 18 - May 18 

  • Kits include: Gloves, garbage bags, and a map of surrounding areas 

If you participate in local cleanupsplease email Operations: 

  1. To notify us so we can collect garbage bags in a timely manner  
  2. To send a photo we can share to recognize your efforts  
  3. To ensure bags are placed near park garbage bins or in areas marked on the cleanup map 
  • When: May 2 

  • When: 8 a.m. 

  • Where: Milton Town Hall (Gather at Town Hall to get assigned your clean-up site 
    and receive supplies) 

Adopt-a-Park 

The Adopt-a-Park program strengthens neighborhood pride and supports the beautification of Milton’s parks, roads, and trails.  

While Town staff maintain parks, volunteers in the Adopt-a-Park program help expedite cleanup efforts and foster a sense of community pride. 

To adopt a park, road or trail in Milton please complete the application form.
