Construction Notice

Roads need regular maintenance to extend their lifespan. The 2025 asphalt overlay program will rehabilitate road surfaces before major reconstruction is needed. Roads are selected based on the current State of the Infrastructure and Asset Management Strategy for Roads Study, supported by feasibility studies, geotechnical testing, and coordination with Halton Region and utility agencies.

The Town of Milton’s contractor, Associated Paving & Materials Ltd., will resurface the roads shown on the map. Work includes partial or full asphalt removal, asphalt paving, localized curb and sidewalk replacement, and pavement marking reinstatement (where present).

Construction will begin after signage is installed. The duration of work varies by road and may pause for testing or curing. Crews will return to complete all required work.

Driveway access: Access to your driveway may be restricted for short periods. You will receive advance notice of any restrictions.
Note: The Town of Milton will not issue permits for new or modified driveways within this project area during 2025.

Dust and mud: You may notice increased dust or mud near the  work zone. The contractor is responsible for managing these impacts.

Mail delivery: We do not expect changes to mail service. If needed, we will notify you in advance.

Noise: You may hear noise from roadwork. All work will follow local noise by-laws.

Precondition photos: A town representative will take photos of curbs and
sidewalks in front of homes before work begins.

Parking: You may need park on nearby side streets during certain stages of construction.

Irrigation and landscaping: The Town is not responsible for damage to sprinkler systems or private landscaping placed in the public road allowance.

Sod: If your lawn is affected, new sod will be installed. This may be delayed due to weather. Your help with watering will support proper growth.

Property restoration: Final restoration will be completed near the end of the project, weather permitting. If your driveway is impacted, the contractor will provide notice so vehicles can be moved. Affected driveway areas will be restored.

Traffic delays: Expect lane restrictions and some delays. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.

Truck traffic: You may notice more truck traffic. Please use caution and follow on-site traffic control.

Waste collection: Garbage and recycling will be picked up on your regular collection day.
