Construction notice
This project is required to remove accumulated sediment, and to complete the restoration of miscellaneous deficiencies at stormwater management facilities (ponds) 2, 4, and 8. Facility maintenance related to the scope of this project plays an essential role in the general upkeep of Town owned assets and provides an increased ROI for our residents. The sediment removal component of this project is necessary to maintain pond function, ensuring adequate quantity and quantity control, and to provide environmental protection to our downstream receivers like 16 Mile Creek.
Enhancements include:
-
Sediment removal
-
Concrete repairs to inlet/outlet structures
-
Site grading repairs
-
Removal of excess vegetation
Locations
Pond #2 – 1051 Fourth Line
Pond #4 – 1015 Trudeau Dr.
Pond #8 - 140 Livingston Rd.
Road closures
No full road closures will be required to facilitate work; however, lane closures may be required periodically to allow contractors to access ponds, move machinery and material in and out of the site. Pathways and trails in and around ponds may be closed to pedestrian traffic as required to facilitate works, and will be determined in the field, on a site-by-site basis.
All road closures can be found using our interactive road closure map at milton.ca/RoadClosures.
