Public service announcement

June is Recreation and Parks Month. This annual campaign promotes the benefits of being active and recognizes the contribution that recreation and parks make to quality of life in local communities.

The Town encourages residents to celebrate Recreation and Parks Month by heading outside to explore local parks and trails, while also getting involved in the various recreation programming available.

Recreation programs

There are programs for all ages. Browse Milton’s available recreation programs.

Most programs and activities require pre-registration. You will need to create an account before registering for in-person or virtual recreation programs.

Parks and trails

Milton has many parks and trails, dog parks and sports fields and courts that you can explore and use.

Explore Milton's trails and bike paths using the Town’s interactive mapping tool.

Sports and recreation lending program

In partnership with the Milton Public Library, residents can borrow family outdoor games and sports equipment. All that’s needed is a library card and the desire to have fun and get active.

Residents can ‘check out’ items such as:

  • Spikeball
  • Cornhole
  • Disk golf
  • Sports activity kits (basketballs, soccer balls, Frisbees, pylons, etc.)
  • Hiking poles

To join in on the fun, check out the Milton Public Library’s catalogue and type ‘sports kit’ in the search bar.
