The Town of Milton is recognizing National Drowning Prevention Week, July 19–25, with a series of free events to promote water safety and lifesaving skills in the community.
Organized every year by the Lifesaving Society, this week raises awareness about drowning prevention and the importance of safe water practices.
Lifesaving/Lifeguard Competition
Past participants of the Town's Bronze Star, Bronze Medallion and Bronze Cross programs are invited to take part in this free, registered event. Participants will take part in rescue simulations to refresh their lifesaving skills. Registration is required.

Lifesaving Information Booths
Learn water safety and lifesaving skills from trained lifeguards, including how to call 9-1-1, perform CPR on adults and infants, and throw an aid with a line.

Free fun swims
Free fun swim sessions are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Come practice your swimming skills and enjoy the water in a safe, supervised environment with certified lifeguards on deck.
